Fire Protection Publications (FPP) is a mission-driven, values-based organization dedicated to the production of high-quality educational content for the international community of firefighters and first responders. FPP is an Engineering Extension unit of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University.

We are looking for the right individual to serve as a Manager of Fiscal Operations. This position will oversee FPP’s annual budget preparation, analysis and administration. Lead and direct daily fiscal operations including, but not limited to, system reconciliations for internal and external accounting data, the accurate and timely processing of FPP procurement requests, and FPP’s accounts receivables.

This position is based on the Oklahoma State University campus in Stillwater, OK. It is an office-based position; remote and hybrid work are not currently an option for this role.

Areas of responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, analyze and administer the annual budget for Fire Protection Publications (FPP).
  • Provide management with proper budget process and current budget reports.
  • Serve as contact for the OSU Bursar, Purchasing and CEAT Support Service Departments for internal University procedures.
  • Interact with the Leadership team to establish fiscal related policies and procedures.
  • Provide information needed to establish and implement short and long term goals.
  • Assist in the oversight, preparation, registration and filing of interstate sales tax returns.
  • Lead and direct FPP’s AP and AR staff and processes, including, but not limited to timely and accurate deposits.
  • Work directly with program managers on accounting and fiscal processes to ensure compliance with OSU policies and Procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reconciliations. Provide and create additional financial reports as needed.
  • Establish and maintain an internal compliance review system for FPP. Perform periodic reviews of inventory, accounts receivable, filing of tax returns and accounts payable to assure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Compensation for this position will be based on the work experience, skills and abilities the selected candidate brings to the position. The current hiring range for Oklahoma State University is $48,000 – 60,780 per year.

Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field and Five years’ experience in supervision, accounting, or fiscal operation processes. Leadership, technical and analytical skills necessary for the role. Demonstrated understanding and application of FPP's organizational values: Service, Safety, Quality, Integrity, Excellence, Professionalism, Accuracy, Collaboration, Credibility, Innovativeness, Accountability. Highly organized, ability to set and maintain schedules, excellent writing skills, excellent communication skills guide a group toward a common goal, action/solution-oriented, productive/results-oriented, continuous learner.
