Business Marketing Information Technology Education

Support the Business Marketing Information Technology Education (BMITE) division by coordinating statewide leadership camps, conferences, conventions, officers, membership services, and financial responsibilities for the BPA & DECA Oklahoma Career Tech Student Organization.

Position provided specialized leadership and personal development training designed for secondary and post-secondary students: specialized teamwork training, and knowledge of BPA, DECA or related careers.

Position based in Stillwater, OK. Travel required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

= Bachelor's degree or approved plan or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in related field

= Three years of teaching or administrative experience in Business Marketing Information Technology Education or equivalent industry experience

PREFERRED:

= Master’s degree

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Serve as the meeting planner and coordinator for all BPA & DECA Oklahoma camps, conferences, and conventions to include budgets, calendar dates, hotels, meals, meeting rooms, and service contracts, promotions, and program content.

2. Attend and participate in local, state, and national conferences and meetings. Provide leadership and represent BPA & DECA Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Department of Career Tech (ODCTE) through speaking engagements, conferences, and industry presentations.

3. Provide membership services such as the BPA & DECA Oklahoma website, newsletter, conference programs, posters, brochures, evaluations, plaques, workshops, and implement National BPA & DECA programs and initiates.

4. Provide supervision to the BPA & DECA Oklahoma officers by providing training and evaluation, development of program activities, conference planning, and code of conduct, travel, budgets, and officer meetings.

5. Prepare the budget and oversee the financial planning and transactions for BPA & DECA Oklahoma.

6. Develop business and industry partners that allow for support of the BPA & DECA Oklahoma organizations at the state and national levels.

7. Provide advisor resources. Plan and implement professional development trainings and technical assistance for teachers based on priorities and needs.

8. Participate as a team player in the BMITE division and ODCTE goals and initiatives. Participate in staff meetings, conference planning, program direction and decisions, professional development, and customer service for the BMITE division.

9. Be available to work some nights and weekends as needed.

Salary/Benefits: $56,985.95 - $63,421.34 commensurate with education or experience. Health, dental, life and disability insurance; flexible benefits plan; teacher’s retirement; vacation/sick leave; paid holidays; employee assistance program; and flex-time options. Total salary and benefits package valued at $69,536.53 - $76,456.30.
