The administrative support staff member is an essential position for supporting students in the office of Student Conduct. Student Conduct serves students experiencing challenges through a holistic approach of providing support services, administering the student conduct process, and addressing and preventing sexual violence. This position works with the student conduct team within the Student Conduct office under the Campus Life umbrella.

Campus Life’s mission is to enhance the student experience through intentional opportunities that promote belonging, engagement, and support. This position is responsible for administrative work related to student cases and maintaining student records. Responsible for developing and maintaining financial accounting information through processing financial requests and financial recordkeeping. Oversee Parking Appeals outcomes. Performance of complex, highly responsible, and confidential administrative and customer service duties. Interacting with students and others via phone and in-person professionally, assertively, and with a caring response. The person in this position would be the first contact with individuals that may have heightened emotions.

Requires the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • One year of clerical/customer service experience.
  • Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and various other products in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in managing confidential and sensitive situations.
  • Ability to prioritize and work autonomously in a high-traffic environment.
  • Demonstrated history of initiative and ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three years of experience. Experience creating and maintaining detailed and confidential records strongly preferred. Familiarity with Oklahoma State University computer systems.
